Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (164-241 H) His full name is "Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Hanbal Ibn Hilal Ibn Asad Asy-Syaibani". His nickname was Abu Abdillah, since one of his son was named Abdullah. He originated from the family of Dzuhli Ibn Syaiban, a lineage that claimed themselves from the tribe of Bakr Ibn Wail. He was born in Baghdad, on 164 Hijri.
Imam Ahmad was acknowledged by the Ulama of his time as the Imam ul Hadith. Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal's books. Amongst his publications, the more famous are Kitab ul Musnad (based upon 30,000 ahadith), Kitab ul Tafseer, Kitab us Salaah, Kitab us Sunnah, Kitab un Nasikh and Mansukh and others.
